Become a Citizen Historian!

Location: The Hesburgh Library,  Lower Level
Date: Friday, January 25, 2019
Time:  10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Panel discussion: 1:30 pm - 2:15 pm, with reception to follow

The Hesburgh Library invites volunteers to participate in a special initiative of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. On January 25, 2019, the Library will host a “Sprint” (similar to a Wikipedia-a-thon), in which volunteers will devote one hour to reading microfilmed, hard-to-access Catholic newspapers to identify coverage from the 1930s relating to the Holocaust. A panel discussion and spotlight exhibit will follow the event. To learn more about volunteering as a citizen historian, please contact Marsha Stevenson at stevenson.2@nd.edu or 574-631-7665.
